Case Study: Focus Features' Champions
Overview:
For Champions, a film featuring 12 Disabled actors, Making Space provided essential training to prepare them for the press circuit, ensuring they felt confident in interviews and red carpet events. Additionally, we trained Woody Harrelson, Kaitlin Olson and Cheech Marin on disability and accessibility related messaging and narratives to highlight during the press tour.
Key Focus Areas:
- Media & Interview Training: Prepared cast members for major TV appearances, including Good Morning America and The Today Show.
- Press Junket Coaching: Worked with Woody Harrelson, Kaitlin Olson, and Bobby Farrelly to help them speak about disability representation with confidence.
- Premiere Accessibility: Ensured the film’s debut was fully accessible to all attendees.
Impact:
This project demonstrated the value of providing Disabled actors and non-Disabled celebrities with disability and industry-specific media training, paving the way for more inclusive and powerful promotional campaigns.
